Today is #hindidiwas Day, the day that commemorates the adaptation of the Hindi language as the official language of India by the Constituent Assembly on September 14, 1949. Since then, Hindi Diwas has been observed on September 14 every year.
Hindi is spoken by a fifth of the world’s population, with 366 million people communicating in the language. India is a diverse nation and Hindi is one language that is seen to assist in bridging the gap among the diverse communities of the country.
