ADTU A Connect Child Safety Policy

1. Purpose Scope

ADTU A Connect (we, our, us) is committed to ensuring the safety and protection of children who may use our services. This policy outlines how we prevent harmful content, ensure safe usage, and comply with Google Plays Child Safety and Families policies.

2. App Audience

ADTU A Connect is designed primarily for university students and staff. The app does not target children under 13, but younger users may access it. We apply child-safe principles whenever minors use the app.

3. Prohibited Content

We strictly prohibit:

• Any sexual content involving minors.
• Content that sexualizes, harms, or exploits children.
• Grooming, harassment, or inappropriate communication with minors.
• Violent, abusive, or unsafe content involving children.

Violations may result in account suspension and may be reported to authorities if required by law.

4. Data Collection Privacy

We only collect data required for core app functionality. For users identified as minors:

• We do not collect Advertising ID (AAID) or use it for tracking.
• We do not permit personalized ads or behavioral profiling.
• We handle personal data responsibly, following GDPR, COPPA (if applicable), and Google Play rules.

5. Ads Monetization

If advertisements appear in ADTU A Connect, we ensure that:

• Ads shown to minors are safe and age-appropriate.
• No personalized or interest-based ads are shown to minors.
• Only Google Play-approved child-safe ad SDKs are integrated.

6. Reporting Moderation

Users can report content or behavior that appears harmful, inappropriate, or unsafe. Our moderation team reviews reports promptly and removes any child-unsafe material.

If content suggests possible harm to a minor or illegal activity, we may:

• Preserve necessary logs, and
• Notify relevant authorities, as required by law.

7. Social Features

Where app features allow interaction or sharing, we monitor and moderate user-generated content to prevent unsafe communication involving minors.

8. Legal Compliance

ADTU A Connect complies with:

• Google Play Families Policy Requirements
• Google Play User Data Safety Requirements
• Applicable child protection laws (GDPR-K, COPPA where relevant)

9. Review Updates

This Child Safety Policy is reviewed annually or whenever Google Play or legal requirements change. Updates will be reflected in the app or website.
